Vesicles

Vesicles are extracellular particles that are cell-derived and present in many and perhaps all biological fluids, including blood, urine, and cultured medium of cell cultures. Vesicles contain various molecular constituents of their cell of origin, including proteins and RNA.

Caldera is developing simple and standard methods for isolating vesicles of interest from urine. Vesicle RNA can be analysed for Caldera’s proprietary gene signature to determine if prostate cancer is present or not.
